Name?What name?

my new horse is still without "THE NAME" that i want to be yelling at night in the mud and rain...I had a close one but the realisation that the Irish ballad to which it belongs a boy gets a girl pregnant so his father tells him to murder her to gain back his bachelor freedom, so the guy listens to his father and poison's the girl on a beautiful spring day with a glass of Burgundy wine and throws her body into a river and the guy is later convicted of murder and hanged.

Not the cheerfully light and pettily pretty name i was looking for...
So at the moment her name is Commie or Comity. Why do i feel like she's going to be stuck with it?
WITHER WEATHER
I'm starting...no scratch that. I'm very frustrated with the weather. It should not be raining this time of year! I know i should be thankful for it but...I'M NOT!!! The round pen is being flooded every day and drying out once a month!
Blood SUCKERS*
you know what I'm talking about!Outdoors peoples arch enemy the mosquito. Get your mosquito repellent its that time of year.

TIPS FOR THE MOSQUITO WAR

1.Wear long sleeves in dusk hours(i don't care how proven repellent is I don't trust it with my mental heath)

2. For those mosquito heavens of yours(horse waters)go by your nearest Fish Bait store and get some Minnows and watch them zip around and make dinner (literally) out of Mosquito's.

3. for your poor horses that are left out all night with the blood suckers one might make them a little less itchy by doing the following.
-put a blanket on
-put fly spray on there poor belly's and necks the apparent mosquito delicacy's.

Commie's Training
-shes now lungable(not laughable)
-she sorta ties
-she not over the water hose yet... you'd think shes an Arab and not a big Fearless Thoroughbred like shes supposed to be.
-she now know the bucket is something that holds wonderful stuff.
-I can put a blanket on her when it's cold
- she now knows that when i brush her I'm not trying to eat her hair by hair!
Hello My name is Saddle
Day #1 saddle pad, saddle no girth over 45 minutes of hand walking
A couple of days later Day #2 a repate
Day #3 the saddle pad, walk around, the saddle, walk around, the girth on top of saddle, walk around, the girth half on walk around, the girth on inch by hesitant scared self sooooooo slow she was not aware in till IT WAS TIGHT!!! AND THE THOROUGHBRED LETS IT RIP LIKE A RODEO HORSE! man i was glad i wasn't on her!!!!

45 minutes later she has figures out that its NOT COMING OFF!!
and walks around like a black cat on Hallows eve.
I take it off and put it back on without any incident.

Four days later i repeat without bucking and minimal sulking.YYYAAAAAAYYYY!!!!!!

Shes now saddle broke:)
But what comes next?
Crap the reluctant rider of course....
I have to say that leaveing that to my trainer in a couple months when I send her to be trained is sounding realy good...

My Poor Saddle
My saddle did not fare very good with all the bucking. The stiching holding the two halfs of the saddle together has rip't in the front...what to do..what do do...
After some thought IM going to see if the shoe reapir shop will beable to put saddle back together agin.
Bye now.

  1. LOVE the new header pic!

Which saddle did she break? :(

I must admit I like "Connie" even though it's a people name. I'm reading too much history to get past "commie" but hey - I'll get used to it! After all I named my mare a boy name! :)

  2. I've noticed that even a layer of cloth will not keep determined blood suckers away... :(
